Centerpointe Christian Preschool program is based on the philosophy of developmental learning through discovery, an approach based on respect for each child as an individual, as well as on a sensitivity to each child’s way of learning. We serve children from 7am to 6pm. During the preschool day we offer children a wide range of challenges that help them to grow. Children learn, grow and acquire skills as they play. They are challenged and helped to increase their creativity and understanding at an individual pace.
Our program offers an integration of developmentally appropriate education, and school readiness to help children feel good about themselves, master new skills, and develop a healthy desire to learn. The Center’s curriculum is designed to incorporate learning in all areas of development – spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional – through active involvement in play.
Each age group offers a wide range of learning experiences designed for the ability levels of the group. Developmental goals are given to each classroom based on their age and projected growth throughout the year. Each level of developmental goals builds on the previous level with the ultimate standard being measured by the Skills for Kindergarten Readiness as published by the Department of Education.
Our playground is fully equipped with a variety of gross and fine motor skill building equipment. Opportunities for tactile and dramatic play experiences abound in the age-appropriate areas provided. Each age level has its own recess session with times for combined play throughout the day.
